Larry was born on November 3, 1937 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to parents John H and Blanche Elizabeth (Sturdivan) Shrope.
He enjoyed horseback riding , camping and racing cars while in Germany,
He is survived by a brother; David Shrope and his wife Della, a special friend; Robert Butler and his wife Sherri.
Larry will have a private service in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
