Linda Ashby Jung

Linda Ashby was born in Presque Isle, Maine on December 15, 1946 to Bill and Elaine Ashby; their only child.

Because of her father's military service in the Air Force, Linda lived all over the world. She enjoyed being a baton twirler as a child. Linda graduated from Jenkins High School in Savannah, Georgia in 1964.

Linda married Erwin O. Jung and traveled with him all over with the Army. Together, they had one daughter, Jodi. Linda worked in various industries including real estate, various outside sales but retired in 2003 from the Texas Department of Corrections after a long lucrative career. Some of Linda's hobbies included word search puzzles and shopping. Linda belonged to the Eastern Star and was a member of VFW 8577. Her favorite pet was a dog named Teddy Bear, who she loved for the past 3 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Erwin. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Jodi Jones, of Copperas Cove.

Linda Ashby will be laid to rest in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Killeen, Texas.
