Linda Kay Cobbley

Linda was strong-willed and steadfast, with a quiet resolve that showed in the life she built and the work she chose. A true farmer at heart, she found purpose in tending her garden and caring for her animals—cows, horses, sheep, and pigs. Fiercely self-reliant, she lived with a determined independence, and for many years she carefully canned produce and meat, preserving not only food but the steady rhythms of a life grounded in hard work and practicality.

Above all else, Linda loved her family with unwavering devotion. To her children, she was their center—steady, guiding, and sure. She instilled in them a clear sense of right and wrong, offering the kind of strength that does not ask for attention, yet is felt in everything it supports.

Linda also carried an adventurous spirit. She enjoyed traveling to the reservations in Oklahoma to visit the casinos, embracing those outings with a sense of freedom and spirited determination that remained part of her throughout her life.

Linda is survived by her children, Gwen Maupin (Lee), Sonja McGarrah (Darrell), and Heath Harper (Sherri); 9 grandkids and 9 great-grandchildren; and 4 living siblings.
