

Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, businesswoman, community member, and friend. She had a deep love for animals and plants, which was reflected throughout her life and work. She owned and operated her plant business, Green Valley Interiorscaping, for 25 years, where she shared her creativity and passion for bringing life and beauty into interior spaces.
Linda was also a passionate and active member of both Altrusa International and the Copperas Cove Historical Society. She dedicated much of her time to serving her community and preserving local history, always offering generosity, wisdom, and kindness to those around her.
She will be remembered as a woman full of life, full of love, and full of wisdom. One piece of advice she often shared was, “If you ever don’t know what to do, ask questions.” Her guidance and honesty left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Katrina Smith and Debra Larive; her sons, Tony Kaplan and Alan Kaplan; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly; and many cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donavan Kaplan, and her daughters, Christina Smith and Claudette Kaplan.
Linda’s legacy lives on through her family, her community service, and the many lives she touched with her kindness, strength, and love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Funeral Service at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home will be held on July 9, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542, US, on July 9, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
