Linda Williams

Linda married the love of her life, Raiford Williams on August 12, 1961 in Sweeney, Texas. The two of them shared 61 years filled with love and memories.

Linda pursued a career in education and earned her Bachelor's Degree from Sam Houston State University in 1961 and later earned her Librarian certification from the University of Texas in 1984. She retired from serving as Librarian at Copperas Cove Independent School District after teaching in several public schools and at Central Texas College; she even spent 2 years teaching in Africa.

In her spare time, Linda enjoyed various hobbies including reading, gardening, quilting, and cake decorating. She was a talented baker and made detailed birthday cakes for each of her grandchildren. In their younger years, Linda and her husband enjoyed taking their children, Gary and Nancy, camping and later attending Aggie football games. Later, she and Raiford enjoyed planning and hosting "Cousin's Camp" for their 6 grandchildren during the summer. Most of all, Linda loved spending time with her family.

Linda was a devout Christian and an active member of First Baptist Church of Copperas Cove, Texas since 1968.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Betty Saunders.

Linda is survived by her husband, Raiford Williams; son, Gary Williams and wife Shannon; daughter, Nancy Bullard and husband David; grand children, Kyle Bullard and wife Nicole, Daniel Bullard and wife Carly, Luke Bullard and wife Abby, Misty Williams, Mackensie Wallace and husband Zane, and Linda Grace Williams; a great grandson, Baker Bullard; as well as her brother Jim Balkum and sister Pat Peck.

A Visitation for Linda will be held Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Copperas Cove, 300 W Ave B, Copperas Cove, Texas, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. A private Graveside Service will be held for the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions in Linda's memory to be made to First Baptist Church of Copperas Cove, Texas.
