Marlon J. "Jack" Peoples, 96, of Copperas Cove, TX was born in Hackett, AR, on January 29, 1924 to Earl and Grace Peoples. He was received into the hands of his Lord on September 18, 2020. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Jack married his wife of 73 years, Berniece on March 12, 1941.
Jack is survived by five children, Jackie Peoples (Shelby) of Shallowater, TX, Edith Smith (Les) of Hutto, TX, Charles Peoples (Evelyn) of Spring, TX, Dianna Milligan of Hutto, TX, Tammie Sanders (Ervin) of Spring, TX, eight grandchildren, Keith Stolle, Rhonda Richardson, Kevin Stolle, Chris Milligan, Tracey Veale, Renee Briles, Rachel Gill, and Jordan Sanders, 17 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Berniece, sisters Lodema Audrain and Betty Christianson, brothers Dewayne Peoples and Gene Peoples.
Jack served in the Army during WWII under General Patton and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He retired from Civil Service at Fort Hood, TX in 1984.
A time of visitation and viewing will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 PM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Killeen, TX.
