Mildred Louise Lantz, 86, of Copperas Cove, Texas, passed away on October 22, 2026. Born November 30, 1939, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Mildred was the daughter of Glabrich and Mary Sill and was raised in Agua Dulce, Texas.
Throughout her life, she was dearly loved, quietly thoughtful, and steadfastly devoted to the people and responsibilities placed in her care.
For 20 years, Mildred served in Civil Service as an Administrative Assistant, bringing diligence and steady reliability to her work. Her resilience showed not in grand declarations, but in the consistent way she met each day—capable, composed, and committed to doing things well.
In 1959, Mildred married the love of her life, Verl Lantz. As an Army wife, she faithfully supported his career and followed him to many duty stations, including Germany. Mildred’s devotion was evident in the life she built with Verl and in the home she created for their family. Together they raised three children—Verl Jr., Charles, and June—whom she nurtured with care and guided with enduring values.
Mildred was an avid reader and a dedicated recipe collector, finding simple, lasting joy in baking and in time shared with family and friends. In these everyday pleasures, her thoughtfulness was most clearly felt—expressed through warm hospitality, careful attention, and the comfort of familiar traditions.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Verl.
Mildred is survived by three children: Verl Lantz Jr. and wife Debbie, Charles Lantz and wife Sharon, and June DuBois and husband Mark; and two grandchildren: Phillip Lantz and Amber Lantz.
