Myong Suk Evans

Myong Suk Evans, 72, of Copperas Cove, Texas, passed away on February 25, 2026. Born October 1, 1953, in South Korea, she lived a life marked by faithful, hard-working, inspirational, and generous love for her family, her church, and all who knew her.

Myong was born in South Korea to her parents, Yi Chin Dong and Son Ok Pun, and was the oldest of four children.

On March 8, 1985, Myong married Francisco J. Evans in Seoul, Korea. Together, they shared 41 years of love and devotion to each other.

Myong found joy in simple and meaningful pursuits, especially gardening and pottery.

Faith was central to Myong’s life. She was faithful and devoted much of her time to church activities, and she especially loved singing gospel hymns at the Korean Baptist Church in Killeen, Texas.

Myong was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Jessica Lee Evans.

She is survived by her loving husband, Francisco J. Evans of Copperas Cove, Texas, along with two brothers and a sister in Korea. She also leaves behind a lasting legacy within her church family.
