During his career he was a Firefighter, Park Ranger and Peace Officer among other roles. He retired from the Texas Christian University Police department at the rank of Lieutenant after 28 years of service. He was well known for his kind demeanor and dedication to the Horned Frog community. In retirement he often embarked on adventures across Texas to hunt, fish and visit family. He was most at home when in nature. When not traveling, he would be gardening, tending to his chickens or building. Staying still was not an option for him. He was always young at heart and could find a way to make anyone smile. He donated his time, expertise and wisdom to anyone in need and always gave more than he took.
He will be dearly missed by his surviving family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, April 3rd at the Copper Wall on 1137 Burton Hill Rd Fort Worth, Texas 76114 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
