Rita (Lopez) Wolfe, 71, was called to the Lord on May 29, 2019. She was more than a beloved wife, Mother, and Nana. Rita was a tireless advocate for the military. She held numerous elected positions in VFW Auxiliary 9413. Rita received numerous volunteer awards including Volunteer of the Year at Camp Carroll, Korea. She worked at a nursing home and set up a program for unskilled workers. She was proceeded in death by her parents Velma Atencio and Morris Lopez and her beloved stepfather Sef Atencio. She joins her siblings Lydia Lopez, Maria Foreman and Maurice Lopez. She is reunited with her son Joseph Stephen Wolf in heaven. Rita is survived by her beloved husband Jose Wolfe, children Bernadette Wolfe, Christopher (Melissa) Wolfe, Melissa (Jason) Hanson, Samantha (Jason) Peck as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Betty Slade and brother James Atencio. Services will be performed by former son-in-law George Hall.

Biography

      Rita Ann Wolfe was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Rita will be remembered as a very exceptional person.

      Simply stated, Rita was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Rita leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Rita Ann Wolfe.
