Robert (Bob) was the oldest of 9 children. They moved from Poughkeepsie, New York to Hurley, New York, then Tilson, New York then Cary, North Carolina and finally to Boca Raton, Florida in 1968. Robert graduated from Boca Raton High School in 1972. When I asked him why he joined the Army this is what he said. "I was a partier always at the beach, and I needed to do more with my life and decided to join the army on Aug. 6, 1976." Bob served for 20 years 8 months and retired at E-8/Master Sgt/1st Sgt.
We met and married in 1980, He asked me to marry him September 18, 1980 and married on November 29th, 1980. His duty stations were Giebelstadt, Germany and Fort Lewis, Washington. He then got orders for Kitzingen, Germany and we joined him later in early 1981. When we left it was orders for Fort Hood, Texas in June, 1984. After Fort Hood Bob then got orders for Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri in 1992. He got orders for Korea 1996 and told me he requested a return back to Fort Hood, Texas in 1996 where the family bought a house.
