Robert J. Gordon

Mr. Robert James Gordon was born on October 25, 1936 in Seattle, WA to the late Robert Gordon and Annabelle Schultz Gordon. He passed away on Monday, February 24, 2014 in Temple, TX.

Robert was a Soldier in the US Army for over 20 years, retiring at the rank of SFC. During his Military career, Robert traveled all around the US and Europe.

In 1979 Robert married Ms. Verna Riggs; they would have celebrated 34 years of marriage this year.

Robert was an avid Golfer, participating in as many golf events he could.

Robert is survived by his wife, Verna Gordon of Kempner, TX; his son Robert P. Gordon (Arlene) of Salinas, CA and a sister Kathy Treece of Maple Valley, WA.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 5-7 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove. Burial will follow in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with full Military honors.
