Memorial services for retired Sgt. Maj. Robert T. Lyle, 75, of Copperas Cove, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. Inurnment with full military honors will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Mr. Lyle died Jan. 21, 2015, at Fort Hood. He was born Oct. 11, 1939, in West Manayunk, Pa., to Stewart and Dorothy Lyle.
He served in the military for 30 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Lyle; sons, Robert T. Lyle Jr. and his spouse, Elizabeth, Michael L. Lyle and his spouse, Cindy, and David W. Lyle and his spouse, Laura; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be made to St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Copperas Cove.
