Roy built a life marked by steady determination and a willingness to take on whatever a day required. A true jack of all trades, he spent years working in construction, bringing practical skill and perseverance to honest work and long days. Through changing seasons and circumstances, he met life with resilience—quietly enduring, adapting, and continuing forward.
In 1997, Roy married the love of his life, Isolde. He was also a father and grandfather, roles he carried with lasting devotion and pride.
Roy found joy and renewal in art and in the outdoors. Whether appreciating creativity or spending time fishing and surrounded by nature, he embraced the world with an adventurous spirit and a deep respect for the simple, grounding gifts of the natural landscape.
Roy is survived by his daughter, Angel Galat (Aaron); brother Frank Cassatt, step-sons Mario Walton, Norman Walton (Teresa); grandchildren, Michaelangelo, Benjamin, Julius, Ricky, Jasmin, Aarron, Kody, Kaela, Ayden, Aubrie; and beloved family including Justin Hart , nieces and nephews Christin, Dustin, Collian, Mia-Joleen, Lee Tyler, Marcel, Genevieve.
Roy is preceded in death by his wife Isolde, son Roy Jr. Cassatt, and his parents Erika and Donald McGinnis.
Roy will be remembered with respect and gratitude by all who knew him, for the life he built, the work he did, and the steadfast presence he offered to those he loved.
