He was an Eagle Scout, having earned that honor on November 16, 2002—a reflection of his character, dedication, and values. He had a passion for fitness and living a healthy lifestyle, and he found joy and freedom in riding motorcycles. Ryan was also a valued employee of the Illinois Farm Bureau for 19 years, where he built lasting relationships and made a meaningful impact through his work.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dean R. Hines; maternal grandmother, Martha B. Hines; paternal grandfather, Eldon M. Tuffentsamer; paternal grandmother, Joy M. Doty Tuffentsamer; and his adopted grandfather, James A. St. Clair.
Ryan is survived by his loving parents, Darwin and Laura Tuffentsamer; his sister, Madison Tuffentsamer; his adopted grandmother, Vicki St. Clair Larsson; and his beloved daughter, Shayla McDarment, who meant the world to him.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on March 27, 2026, at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove, Texas. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather and share memories together at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Copperas Cove, Texas.
Ryan will be remembered for his laughter, his warmth, and the way he loved so deeply. Though he will be greatly missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
