

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Monroe Christian and Sally Jean Christian, and her beloved niece, Susana Pilate.
Sallie is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Ralph Carnal; her daughters, Heather Elliott (Steven) and Colleen Hunter-Gaudreau (Jason); her stepdaughter, Rachel Carnal; her cherished grandchildren, Mikayla Hunter (Ali), Jack Elliott, Cole Elliott, Joseph Gaudreau, Jacob Gaudreau, and Luke Elliott; her brother, Ted Christian; her sisters, Pat Christian, Penny Harman, and Connie Schilling (John); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Known affectionately as "Nana" to her grandchildren, Sallie was immensely proud of her family and cherished the time she spent with them. A talented attorney with a brilliant mind, she was exceptionally intelligent, quick-witted, and never afraid to speak her mind. Her sharp sense of humor and trademark sarcasm kept family and friends on their toes, often leaving them laughing long after the conversation had ended. She was outspoken, fiercely independent, and never pretended to be anything other than herself. Her quick wit, strong convictions, and unwavering loyalty made her a trusted friend and a memorable presence in the lives of those who loved her. She lived life on her own terms and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. While she will be deeply missed, the stories, laughter, and lessons she leaves behind will remain with her family and friends forever.
Although her passing was unexpected, Sallie's influence will continue to be felt through the family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones whose lives she touched. Her intelligence, wit, strength, and unwavering loyalty left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her.
While her family mourns her loss, they also celebrate a life lived fully and unapologetically. The stories she created, the lessons she taught, and the laughter she inspired will remain with them always.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, if desired.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered support, prayers, and kindness during this difficult time.
