

Sharon Esther Ault, age 85, of Copperas Cove, Texas, passed away peacefully on the evening of April 8, 2026, at 10:04 p.m. Born on October 31, 1940, to Albert and Olivene Sorensen, Sharon lived a life defined by love, faith, and an unwavering devotion to her family.
She deeply missed the love of her life, her husband, Terry Ault, since his passing in 1993. She never stopped thinking about him and loving him. She was preceded in death by her parents, her father, Albert Sorensen (1971), and her mother, Olivene Sorensen (1995), as well as her siblings Ardene Sorensen (1953), Debora Sorensen (1954), Don Sorensen (2006), Marge Teelander (2017), and Joan Bainbridge (2026).
Sharon was a proud and dedicated military wife. Throughout the many moves and changes that came with military life, she worked various jobs and built a warm, loving home wherever her family was stationed. After she and Terry retired from military life, they continued their lifelong commitment to serving others by working withing hteir community as foster parents for children who had suffered abuse. They offered comfort, safety, and love to children in crisis, providing stability during the hardest moments of their young lives. Their compassion and willingness to open their hearts and home made a profound difference for countless children.
Sharon's legacy lives on in the hearts of her two children, Connie Hopkins (63) and Tim Ault (60); her five grandchildren, Tabetha Hopkins, Cody Ault, Brandy Hopkins, Briana Ault, and Cassie Huddleston; her fourteen great-grandchildren; Alex Ault, Evie Ault , Maggie Ault, Brookelyn Waldrop, Bryleigh Waldrop, Lyla B Huddleston, Jessa Huddleston, Jack Jack Huddleston, Nicholas Hopkins, Dre Crittenden Jr., Mekaylyn Ascherl, Nevaeh Crittendon, Frankie Hopkins; her one great-great- grandson Alyx Hopkins; and her loving sisters, Geri Parker and Linda Porterfield.
Those who knew Sharon will forever remember her gentle spirit, her giving heart, and the way she made every person feel seen and loved. She found joy in the simple moments- gathering around the table for a game of Yahtzee, cuddling with her dog, Stormy, sharing laughter during family visits, and strengthening her faith through her church community. Her presence brought warmth to every room, and her love remains a lasting gift to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
