

After retiring from the US Air Force, he taught elementary school for the Clark County School District and Copperas Cove ISD. He received his LPC license and worked as a school counselor for Copperas Cove ISD and Sweeny ISD. He volunteered as a grief counselor for Camp Agape and Bo’s Place.
Known as a kind and gentle man, Thom took great pride in helping anyone in need. He loved his family, his mustang and St. Bernards.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Love-Anne Feather. His adored children: Emma (Jason) Shumaker, Rue (Peter) Dornai and Joshua (Michelle) Feather. His treasured grandchildren: Tobi and Madi Dornai, Jack and Benny Shumaker and Tucker, Tula and Tosh Feather.
He will be interred at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Tx at 9:00 AM on Feb 28, 2025 small reception will be had at the Copperas Cove Grace United Methodist afterwards. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Gideons International, Luck and Legends St. Bernard Rescue or plant a tree to live on in his memory.
You have fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith. You will be greatly missed, Mr. Feather!
