Weldon was a lifelong resident of Copperas Cove, Texas. He was born to parents Ernest and Meta Schneider on October 19, 1936.
Having grown up here, Weldon graduated from Copperas Cove High School. He played 6 man football and his team won the State Championship. Weldon was a lifelong member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Copperas Cove where he attended grade school. Weldon was a Farmer and Rancher after his retirement from Civil Service. In his retirement, Weldon enjoyed hunting and fishing which was a passion he passed down to his children and grandchildren. He also spent some time traveling and cruising; some of his favorite locations being the Rocky Mountains and Alaska.
Weldon is preceded in death by his wife; Donna Schneider, his parents; Ernest and Meta Schneider,
a brother; Harold Schneider, sisters; Lucille Meissner, Gladys Albright and Betty Jean Morris.
Weldon is survived by a son Marvin Schneider and wife Christina of Farmersville, Texas and their son Daniel, daughter; Carla Kind and her husband Harlan Kind JR of Broomfield, Colorado and their two sons Trey Kind and Matthew Kind, sister; Gloria Kesslar and her husband Rocco of Georgetown, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Weldon will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove, Texas. The Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Copperas Cove, Texas. Weldon will be laid to rest beside his wife at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery following the service.
