

Bill was born September 1, 1936 in Amarillo, Texas to Horace Bellamy and Lottie (Holt) Bellamy.
He will always be remembered as a jovial man with a heart as big as Texas. He enjoyed going to the coffee shop to see his friends.
Bill retired from the U.S. Army. While serving he received the National Defense Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal Clasp, Bronze Medal, Five Loops, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Silver Service Star and 4 Bronze Service Stars and the Driver/Mechanic Badge.
Bill was very proud to be a Vietnam Veteran.
He was preceded in death by a son, James.
He is survived by his wife of Kempner; two daughters, Bonnie and Anna Patton and her husband Martin Patton; four granddaughters, Ashley, Kayla, Madison and Sarah.
The Bellamy family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014 in the chapel of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. Interment services will follow with full military honors in the Kempner City Cemetery.
