Aleine D. Johnson

Aleine D. Johnson, 99, of Corinth, Mississippi passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Cornerstone Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Sunday, April 6, 1924 to the late Eldridge and Laura Martindale Dobbins in Corinth, Mississippi.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of West Corinth Church of Christ, where she loved the Lord and worshiped as often as possible. She was a hostess for Holiday Inn Hotel for many years. She was a seamstress and enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She was a family first, quiet, classy woman with a selfless attitude toward life. Mrs. Johnson loved to cook, she would always prepare and share a meal with her loved ones often.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Grady Johnson; three brothers, Travis, Jarrett and Billy Dobbins; and one sister, Elva Marie Young; and a grand-daughter-in-law Kelly Gray.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by a son, Gary Johnson; two daughters, Sherry Gray (Roy) and Connie Payne (David); three grandchildren Rick Gray (Stefani), Todd Gray, and Gina Harvey (Josh); seven great-grandchildren Amber Dees (Justin), Austin Gray, Paxton Gray, Ally Gray Clausel (Alan), Saylor Gray, Brinlee Rickman, and Presley Parson; and seven great-great-grandchildren, Emersyn Dees, Hollis Dees, Adison Dees, Jase Dees, Lennox Clausel, Hadley Gray, and Phoenix Gray.

There is a Celebration of Life Service scheduled for Tuesday, October 17th, 2023 beginning at three o'clock in the afternoon at McPeters Funeral Directors with James Van Sandt officiating. The family will accept friends beginning at one o'clock in the afternoon until service time.
