Allan Joseph Flanders

Funeral service for Allan Joseph Flanders 70, are set for 12:00 noon Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors Chapel with Bro. Jeff Haney officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Corinth National Cemetery.
Allan died December 21, 2018 at MS Care Center. He was born December 29, 1947 in Cranston, RI. To the late Thomas and Elizabeth Flanders. He was a graduate of Pilgrim High School in Warrick, RI. He was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. Served in the US Marine Corp, in the Vietnam War, with an impressive war record. He worked for over 20 years at Dana and Long Wholesale. He was member of Corinth Elks, Lodge, were he was Exalted Ruler of Corinth Elks Lodge for 2 years and MS State President of Elks Lodge, and member of the American Legion and VFW.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donnie Flanders.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sherry Simpson Flanders; sons, Patrick (Jane) Flanders, Kevin (Tabatha) Flanders, Keith (Carrie) Flanders; grandchildren, Destiny Flanders, Brendan Flanders, Ivan Flanders; brother, Tommy (Jane) Flanders.
Serving as pallbearers are Gary West, Jessie Whitehead, Larry Ross, James Parker, Honnell Lancaster and Alton Weeks.
Family and friends gathering for Allan will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at McPeters Funeral Directors, 1951 East Third Street, Corinth, Mississippi 38834, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM.

I am so very sorry to learn of AJ's passing. He was a fine man with a big heart. We truly enjoyed his time at Long Wholesale with us. He served our country with honor and great ability. God bless the Flanders family.
