Funeral services for Charles L. Vanderford, 77, is set for 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors Chapel with Military Honors and Masonic Rites burial in the Farmington Baptist Church cemetery.
Charles died May 4, 2015 peacefully at his home. He was born January 22, 1938 to the late Roy L Vanderford and Vera Roberts Vanderford Lee. He graduated from Farmington High School. He was a member of the UA Local 669 Sprinklefitters, he was retired from National Automatic Sprinkler Industry, formerly employed by General Motors Inc. of Chicago, owned and operated Mobil Catering Service and worked in automobile sales. Charles was a member of Farmington Baptist Church, a mason, Scottish Rite, Shriner and member of Corinth Lodge 116, a veteran of the US Army, 4 years active duty and 2 years reserve being stationed in Hawaii.
Preceded in death by his parents, step-father C.T. Lee, sister Ann Burcham and brother in law Larry Burcham.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sarah De Longe Vanderford of Corinth, brother in law Oliver De Longe of Corinth, nieces: Angela Sykes, Kim Cox, nephew: Bryan Burcham: the Wallace cousins, children of Vance and Eva Wallace.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at McPeters Inc Funeral Directors.
