Cray Franks

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Earnest Cray Franks will be held on 1pm on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Henry Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12pm until service time.

Cray passed away on August 22, 2026 at Selmer Post Acute Healthcare. He was born on February 28, 1942 to the late Jesse and Annie Franks. He was a member at Northside Church of Christ. In 1963, Cray met the love of his life, Patsy. They were married for 58 years until her passing in 2021.

Cray worked his entire career at Corinth Coca Cola where he was a manager. In addition, he was the co-owner of Franks Property Management. Cray enjoyed playing guitar and singing with his band "Courthouse Pickers". He loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Franks; his brother, Herschel Franks and sister-in law Bobbie Franks; and sister-in-law, Margie Franks.

Cray is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Bills Shults of Nashville, TN; granddaughter, Chelsey Shults Wells (Chip) of Nashville, TN; and great-granddaughter, Campbell Wells; brother, Bobby Franks; and longtime family friend, Heather Marolt.

Pallbearers include Rob Brown, Johnny Purvis, Charlie Curtis, Kenny Franks, Rick Rogers, Randy Jones, and Bryan Langley.
