

Family and Friends Gathering for Douglas “Doug” J. Butler, 74, is set for Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home.
Doug died January 1, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Corinth, MS to the late Theodore “Teddy” and Elvera Butler. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. He worked as a electrician and in house leveling. Over the years, he donated to rehabs, cared for the homeless, would buy them food to eat, put them up in hotels and would give out bibles to the ones that did not have one. He loved his family and all his friends at Alcorn Building Supply and Corinth Brick.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronnie Butler, and sister, Judith Swan.
He is survived by his wife of 51 ½ years, Loretta White Butler; son, Kenny Butler (Michele); daughter, Tina Butler; brother, Junior Butler (Wilma), Larry Butler; grandchildren, Douglas Joseph Butler, Noah Culbert, Tyler Beatty, Jake Beatty, Matthew Frye, Sarah Holt Farmer, Ashley Butler, Heather Frye, Allyson Fyre; great grandchildren, Abram Malone, Gabriel Butler; special daughter, Connie Howell; special nephews, Sean Swan and Shane Butler; and a host of other family and friends.
Arrangements are under the care of Memorial Funeral Home.
