Elsie Annie Allen

Elsie Annie Wilson Allen joined her heavenly family on February 24, 2018 at home with her son and daughter-in-law by her side. She was born on August 8, 1923 in Moulton, AL. She married Lee Raymond Allen on August 25, 1941 and they made their home in the Wheeler Grove community along with their three children. She filled many positions during her life but her best one was wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt to her extended family. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. She was a faithful member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her son, Wade Lee Allen and wife Lisa; daughter, Nelda Allen Lambert; grandchildren, Michael “Mike” Lambert and wife Pam; Brian Lambert, Katie Allen Briggs and husband Ryan, Alexandra Allen, Jamison Allen and wife, Lindsie, Brandi Franks and husband Jimmy; great-grandchildren, Kara Lea Fowler, Michael Lambert II, Jim Lambert, Brian “Bud” Lambert II, Kaylee Lambert, Shiloh Briggs, Shelby Briggs, Stella Briggs, Sophie Crow, Hadley Allen, E.J. Allen, Kegen Clark, Tanner Franks, Emma Franks and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Raymond Allen; parents, Samuel Cecil Wilson and Hazel Ruth Letson Wilson; daughter, Patsy Allen Russom; granddaughters, Tiffany Lambert Reddoch, Lorie Russom Fowler; son-in-law, Lamar Lambert, brother, Perino Wilson and his wife Mary Jewel. Dr. Kara Blackard will officiate the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Elsie Allen to the Baptist Children’s Village, P.O. Box 27 Clinton, MS 39060, (601)952-2422. Mrs. Allen has been a kind and friendly person to me as long as I have known her. I know she will be missed by multitudes of friends and family here on earth, while being welcomed by multitudes of the same in her heavenly home. May God bless and comfort those she has left behind.
