Frances Galbraith Dalton, 94, died on December 11th, 2013 at Country Cottage in Corinth. She was born April 8th, 1919 to the late Claude White and Willie Trice O’Neal Galbraith. Mrs. Dalton was preceded in death by her parents; Husband; William Tolbert Dalton, brother; O’Neal Galbraith, sisters; Evelyn Wells, Martha Helen Nash and a grandchild Clifford Dalton.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Dalton will be held at Eleven O’clock in the Morning on Saturday December, 14th at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Prentiss Gordon and Rev. Glyn Wiygul officiating. Burial will be in Henry Cemetery.
She graduated from Corinth High School and attended Union University in Jackson, TN where she was a member of Upsilon Chapter of the Chi Omega Fraternity. Mrs. Dalton was retired from the Mississippi Department of Employment Security. She was very active in the community and loved to help those in need. One of her favorites was her time as a Pink Lady of the Magnolia Regional Health Center Auxiliary Team. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church, The United Daughters of The Confederacy, Daughters of The American Revolution, United Way Board of Welfare, Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, Four Seasons Garden Club, 20th Century Study Club, The First United Methodist Women, The First United Methodist Lester Henry Sunday School Class and a charter member of the Junior Auxiliary of Corinth.
Mrs. Dalton is survived by her three sons, Frank (Katie) Dalton, Bill Dalton of Corinth and Claude Dalton (Angela) of Adamsville, TN. She has two daughters, Dale (Richard) Warriner of Tupelo, MS and Mary (Chris) Stables of Midlothian, TX. Her grandchildren are Will (Ashley) Dalton, Johnson City, TN, Laura Dalton of New Orleans, LA, Martha Frances Dalton of Corinth, Lisa (Randy) Gentry of Katy, TX, Ana (Daniel) Woodyard of Dublin, VA, Starr (Darren) Martin of Corinth, Nealey Dalton of Adamsville, TN, Trice (Harry Hall) Sumner, Dale Dalton Curry of Tupelo, MS, Zach Stables, Jordon Stables, Michael Stables of Midlothian, TX, and her brother in law; Oscar Harold Dalton of Camden, TN. She also is survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at The First United Methodist Church from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11:00. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation in honor of Frances Dalton to the organization or charity of your choice.

Bill, my condolence to you and your Family in these times without the ones we love so much. I spent many good days growing up in the neighbourhood and of course Francis always welcomed me into her house.
