Funeral service for Hobert Giffin Bingham 93, are set for 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home with Military Honors, Bobby Simmons and Brian Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Henry Cemetery.
Hobert died June 21, 2018 at his residence. He was born August 20, 1924 in Alcorn Co. to the late Hugh Mack and Kate Mae Bingham. Hobert served in the US Marines during WWII, over the many years he was employed as a wielder, Corinth Machinery, Alcorn Co. Deputy Sheriff, backhoe operator, café owner and maintenance for Farmington Water Association. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Olene George Bingham; parents; grandsons, Matthew Leon Smith, Mark Carmack; brothers Grady Bingham (Elsie), Albert Bingham (Hattie), Clifford Bingham (Vida Bell), Cleaburn Bingham; sisters Cleo Lancaster (Tom), Jessie Mae Deese (Clarence), Janie Arnold (Henry).
He is survived by his son Danny Bingham (Kim); daughter Deborah Mitchell; special children Dennis Carmack (Lynn), Julia Taylor (Joel), Cindy Morton. Grandchildren Brian Smith (Misty), Dan Bingham, Jennifer Bingham (Steve Sipes), Jared Bingham, Jacy Mitchell (Blane Mitchell), Josh Carmack, Brad Taylor, Clay Taylor, Susan Dilk, Kristen Harmon, Katie Beth Morton; eleven great grandchildren; host of other family and friends
Family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 to service time.
