Houston Wayne Devers

Dr. Kara Blackard, Rev. Ray Bennett, Rev. Shane Evetts. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Devers died April 16, 2010 at his residence. He was Retired from Lewis Brothers Bakery after 35 years. He was a graduate of Biggersville High School Class of 1961 and was a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his granddaughters and family.

He was preceded in death by his father John Houston Devers, grandparents D.P. and Jennie Nunley and Aurthur and Minnie Devers, Father-in-law Malcolm Bodiford, Mother-in-law Ella Lee Bodiford, Sisters-in-law Patsy Dickey and Rose Suggs Nephew Richard Devers.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years Nelda "Nell" Devers, Daughters Donna D. Trim her husband Terry, Son Joey Devers his wife Sonya, mother Maxine Nunley Devers, sister Joyce Morrow (Buddy), Brothers Bobby Devers (Diann), Jim Devers (Susan), Mike Devers (Rhonda). Granddaughters Anna, Alie and Abie Trim and Kristen Devers. Several nieces, nephews family and friends.

Brian Hutcheson, David Nunley, Dustin Devers, Joe Doty, Milton Barker, Carroll Morrow, Todd Morrow, Steve Morrow will serve as Pallbearers and Tommy Bacon, Don Nunley, Elton Bodiford, Kenneth Essary, Dwight Dickey, Shawn Bodiford, Eric Fowler, Adam Fowler, Jimmy "Lil Jimmy" Devers, Jack Nichols, Neil Wilson, Don Wilson will be Honarary.

Visitation is Saturday 5:00 to 9:00 and Sunday form 12:00 to 1:30 P.M. at the church state room.
