

Hugh died August 29, 2025, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born August 27, 1961, in Memphis, TN to the late Lloyd Hugh and Mary Frances Coleman. He was an active member of Theo Church of Christ. He was a 1979 graduate of East Union High School and a 1983 graduate of Bachelor of Science from Freed Hardeman University. Hugh also received an AA in Engineering Tech from Itawamba Community College.
Hugh started a 36-year career with the Army Corp of Engineer in Huntington,VA, then Savannah, GA. He worked in Homestead, FL after Hurricane Andrew, then he moved back to Huntington, Memphis, and New Orleans to work after Katrina. He also worked on the Border Wall in Dallas Fort Worth before President George W. Bush left office. He spent a year in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom with the Corp. Before retiring, he was Chief of the Real Estate Dept. for the Army Corp, where he reported to the Colonial. Hugh was Sec/Treasure of the Oaks Hill Cemetery. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his paternal grandparents, Jessie “Boy” and Lillian Burns Coleman; and his maternal grandparents, Bert and Mary Davis Stout.
He is survived by his sister, Cindy Street (Jay); nephews, Jason Street (Alisha), James Street and Landon Street; like a nephew, Dallas Hollis (Jennifer); great nieces, Melanie Street and Lauren Street; and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers are David Rainey, Will Coleman, Mitchell Stout, Brian Stout, Mike Martin, Jack Martin, and Andrew Kirby. Honorary pallbearers are Don Robertson, Jerry Rainey, Danny Martin, Corey Stout, Pat Stout, Junior Stout, Richard Shaw, Bob Shaw, Steve Brager, John Stubbs, Joe Connell, Bill Phillips, Bubba Suitor, Carl Campbell, Jeff Gillespie, Frank Anderson, Dr. Milind Javle, Tommy Lindsey, G.W. Childs, Lane Bell, Curtis Rogers, John O. Windsor, Keith Simmons, Steve Wilbanks, Bill Coccari, Winston Hodum, Billy Simmons, and Billy Strickland.

or Pinevale Children Home.
Funeral Services for Hugh are set for 2pm Sunday at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oaks Hill Cemetery. A Family and Friends Gathering will be Saturday from 5pm to 7pm and Sunday 12pm to service time at the funeral home.
