Services to celebrate the life of Jerry Dale Crabb, 77, will be held on Sunday February 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Shady Grove Baptist Church with burial to take place in the Shady Grove Church Cemetery. Bro. Charlie Cooper and Bro. Buddy Downs will officiate the service. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home.

Jerry died on February 16, 2021 at the North Alabama Medical Center. He was born on October 31, 1943 in Chewalla, TN to the late Walter and Ruby Gurley Crabb. He was the founder and co-owner of Crabb Heating and Air where he worked along side of his son Jeff until retirement. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church for just shy of 50 years. He enjoyed gardening, being on his tractor, riding his Ranger and loved watching TV.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Geraldean Crabb; son Jeff Crabb (Tina); daughter, Jennifer McGaughy (Jonathan); grandchildren, Ben Crabb, Rebecca Kohl, Kaley Sparks (Justin); Brooke Smith (Ben), Lanie McGaughy, Isaac McGaughy (Chelsea); great-grandchildren, Brian Crabb, Spence Crabb, Hunter Crabb, Tommy Dale Crabb, Seth McGaughy, Liam Rickman, Adeline Smith, Eleanor Smith, Shiloh Sparks, Kyran Kohl and Landon Kohl; great-great grandchildren, Hudson Crabb and Ellie Crabb; brother, Johnny Crabb (Ann); sister Clara Burcham; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tommy Crabb; grandson, Dustin Crabb; brothers, James, Donald, Joe and Leamon Crabb and sisters, Grace Latch and Edna Butler.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons and great grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters.

Mr. Jerry was always a cheerful man. Kevin enjoyed working on his dune buggy when it was brought in. We have missed seeing him and having him tell us about his childhood memories along with his stories of his dune buggy escapades. Truly a man who will be missed by all.
