

Funeral services for Jessie Howard “Shadow” Wilbanks, 87, of Corinth are set for 2:00 P.M. on Thursday April 16, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Hoover and Bro. Jimmy Lancaster officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Wilbanks died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at MS Care Center in Corinth, MS. He was born on May 31, 1927 to the late Claude and Laverne Holloway Wilbanks. He attended Shady Grove Baptist Church and was a US Army WWII Veteran. He was a retired auto mechanic who issued and applied the first state inspection sticker in Alcorn County and enjoyed his Arby’s gang fellowship, turkey hunting and deer hunting.
Along with his parents, Mr. Wilbanks was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Wilbanks, and four brothers, Virgil Wilbanks, Orville Wilbanks, Bobby Wilbanks and Melvin Wilbanks.
Survivors include his son, Randal Wilbanks and wife Judy; his daughter, Renee Smith and husband Chuck all of Corinth; two brothers, Alva Wilbanks and wife Ollie of Corinth, and Gaylon Wilbanks and wife Willie of Chrystal Springs; two sisters, Alma Miller and Captolia “Fred” Strickland both of Corinth; three grandchildren, Christy Briggs and husband Lucky, Jessye Smith and Avery Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Cassidy Briggs, Kaylee Jane Briggs and Asia Briggs.
