Jimmy O. Harvell

Jimmy O. Harvell 67, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, March 2, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Jimmy was born in Alcorn Co. MS. on December 1, 1951. He worked at Century Electric, Vendo and retired from Caterpillar after 30 plus years. After retiring he had been working for Scott’s Machining LLC up until the time of his death.

Jimmy loved fishing, taking care of his home and his grandchildren, who were the light and love of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Erlene Valdejo Harvell; his sons, Jimmy Harvell (Shana) Shane Harvell (Trystal); mother Jonia Owens; sister Linda House; grandchildren, Caden Harvell, Niklas Harvell, Emilyn Harvell, Will Harvell, Jake Harvell, Kyler Rickman; sister-in-law, Cindy Umfress (Sherrell); niece, Amber Nelms (Brad); host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Olen Harvell; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Josephine Valdejo.

Celebration of Life service will be are set for 1:00 Wednesday March 6, 2019 at McPeters Inc. Funeral directors with Dr. Leonard Pratt and Bro. Josh Hodum officiating. Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 and Wednesday 12:00 to service time.

His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
