Funeral service for Jimmy T. “Buddy” Howie, 71 are set for 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Webber and Bro. Trent Nethery officiating. Burial will be in the Holly Cemetery.

Buddy died February 15, 2018 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born July 5, 1946 to the late Dalton and Gladys Howie. He was of the Baptist faith; He was retired after 32 years from Frito-Lay Inc. He was a member of Corinth Masonic Lodge #116, having received his 32nd degree. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, working with mobile truck and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Howie, sisters, Jane Treadway, Carolyn Faulkner.

He is survived by his wife Wethia Howie; sons Darren (Tammy) Howie, Brian (Leeann) Howie, Ricky Howie; daughter, Shelly (Darrell) Hopkins; grandchildren, Dustin Howie, Madeleine (Chris) Gardner, Chase Hopkins, Sydney Howie, Cooper Hopkins; great granddaughter, Hadleigh Gardner; his faithful companion, Chip; host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers Jeff Treadway, Vic Brooks, Wayne Howie, Billy Gray, Randy Faulkner, Darrell Hopkins.

Family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 to 8:00 and Sunday from 1:00 to service time.
