Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Nita “Joann” Pett will be Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 1pm at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Wheeler Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm until 8pm on Monday July 21, 2025 and from 11am until service time at the funeral home.

Joann passed away on July 17, 2025 at her residence. She was born on November 13, 1954 to the late Walter Hodum and Wilma Bobo. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed traveling and going to yard sales.

In addition to her parents, Joann was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Pett; brothers, JW Hodum, Gerald Hodum and Harold Hodum (Dorothy); nephew, Randy Hodum; niece, Diane Hodum, nephew in law, Wade Downs.

Joann is survived by her niece, Teresa Hodum Downs of Corinth; longtime friend, Larry Tennyson; several cousins; a host of other family and friends; and her fur babies.
