Johnnie Ray Franks

Johnnie “John” Ray Franks died August 8, 2026, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service with Military Honors is set for 1:30 Sunday, August 16, 2026 at Grissom Chapel Holiness Church with Bro. Larry Marshall officiating.

John was born on December 30, 1946, in Benton Harbor, MI. to the late Floyd and Dorothy Franks. He was a 6 year veteran with the US Air Force and then another 20 years with the National Guard. He was retired from Bosch, having worked in the foundry dept. He and wife moved to Corinth in 2021 from Missouri, and attended Grissom Chapel Holiness Church.

He is preceded in death by his children, Johnny Lee Franks, Dawn Catherine Franks, and Jason Franks; parents; and sister, Joy Franks.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Franks; stepchildren, Randy Eugene Hare (Nonnie), Kathleen Pyburn-Jones (Emmett) and Trina Hughes; sister, Carol Brasher; grandchildren, Kayla Franks, Kelsey Franks, Alex Everett, Trent Lane, Paris Lane, Kapriona Pyburn, Patience Jones, Tommie Jones, Immanuel Jones, Mikey Hughes, Brittany Hughes, and Rosaline Hughes; and great grandchildren, Lillie Walker, Warren Walker, Keoine, Oliver, Junior, Holden Gage and Riley.
