Kenneth Ray Essary

Celebration of Life Service with Military Honors for Kenneth Ray Essary 74, are set for 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home with burial in the Forrest Memorial Park.

Kenneth passed away Sunday April 7, 2019 at his residence following a brief illness. Kenneth was born December 25, 1944 in Alcorn Co. MS. to the late Honnell and Irene Essary. He was a 1963 graduate of Kossuth High School and served honorably in the United States Air Force, was a Mason. A retired truck driver, Kenneth enjoyed racing, buying and selling cars, hunting and spending time with his grandsons, Josh and Alex.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Lavon Dean Essary; infant sons, Manuel and Kevin; sister, Barbara Ragen; brother, Ricky Essary.

He is survived by his daughter, Denise Essary Brooks and her husband Chris of Bullard, TX.; grandsons, Joshua Tull and Alex Tull of Corinth, MS.; sisters, Sue Crum (Tommy), Jane Rowsey (Phillip), Debbie Essary and friend William; Also left to cherish his memory are his lifelong friends Ronnie and Jennifer Vernon of The Woodlands, TX.; his best friend, Dennis McGee of Corinth, MS. and Alexis Harmon who was loved so much by Kenneth and Lavon; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers, Ronnie Vernon, Dennis McGee, Gerald Price, Jerry Shipman, Jimmy Jones and Harold Switcher.

A receiving of family and friends for Kenneth will be held Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at Memorial Funeral Home.
