Lillian Virginia Talley Ellis

Celebration of Life Service for Lillian Virginia Talley Ellis, 90, of Brandon, MS is set for 2:00 PM Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Josh Mathews officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Walnut, MS.

Mrs. Ellis died on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Merit Health Rankin Hospital in Brandon, MS.

She was born April 4, 1926 in Macon, TN to the late William Winchester and Gertrude Hall Talley. She was a member of Raymond Road Baptist Church in Jackson, MS. and had resided in Lansing, Michigan from 1950 to 1975 before moving to Jackson, MS.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Balos Ellis; her parents, infant son, Robert Kent Ellis; one grandson; four sisters and two brothers.

Mrs. Ellis is survived by her sons; Richard “Dick” Ellis of Michigan; Norman “Derl” Ellis of Lake Charles, LA.; Joe Ellis of Richardson, TX; her daughters, Peggy Moody of Brandon, MS and Kelly Graham of Raton, NM; her brother, Richard Maurice Talley of Pearl, MS; eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday 12:00 PM until service time.
