Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Lola Mae Porter, 76, are set for 1:00 pm Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Sculley officiating.
Lola died January 22, 2020 at Cornerstone Health and Rehab. She was born May 30, 1943 in Cheyenne, WY. to the late Elmer and Katherine Pulse.
She was a retired librarian, having a Masters in Library Science. Lola and her husband Gordon, moved to Corinth in 2008 from the Chicago area. She was a member of Grace Bible Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and played the piano, actively until her health declined. She would also play and sing at Country Cottage on a weekly basis with the church. She volunteered at the Corinth Library and was a member of The Red Hat Society. She enjoyed traveling, listening to bluegrass music and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gordon Porter; daughters Karen Dhyanchand and Kathleen Bell; brothers Richard and Russell Pulse; sister, Linda Hayward; grandchildren, Natalie Dhyanchand, Oliver Dhyanchand, and Ashlynn Bell.
Family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 pm to service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Bible Baptist Church or Corinth Public Library.

I never met Mrs Lola, but through Mr. Gordon, I know she was a wonderful woman whom he loved very much. I have spent many hours at the nursing home with Mr. Gordon. My prayers are with Karen, Kathy and Mr Gordon. May God give you all the precious strength you all need to make it through this painful time. God will carry you. He is your great comforter. My love and prayers are with you!!
