I remember Lynn as being so full of energy and excited about what ever he was doing that it would rub off on you. I will miss his blue eyes and constant smile. For the last 21 yrs. of his life, Lynn was my neighbor, not just in proximity, but in deed. He was a friendly, big-hearted man. For about 7 yrs., I gardened in his garden lot. Last fall after the wind storm, he loaned me his chain saw. I could list other thoughtful deeds. He will be missed in his community. Anne & family, God be with you.

Coach Wood was a very special man who touched the lives of all my family members. He was my friend, mentor, and fellow biology teacher. I loved his goodness of heart and his sharp mind that was always learning. My husband admired his work ethic and his amazing float building skills! He taught all of our daughters, and they still remember his sayings, jokes, and stories, as well as the biology. His was a life well lived.

Coach Lynn Wood was an extraordinary man. I had the extreme good fortune of meeting him as his student in the Alcorn County beekeeping class. I have never met or known a kinder, warm hearted gentleman than he. I feel a great sense of personal loss at his passing but more, I feel the world is a dimmer place without him. My heart goes out to his very fine family on this saddest of occasions.
Warmest Regards,
Dr. James Long
