Celebration of Life service for Martha “Gwen” Rorie, 75, is set for 12:00 noon Sunday at Life Tabernacle in Corinth with Bro. Jonathan McGaughy officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Church of God in Tishomingo, MS. Family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 to 9:00 and Sunday from 11:00 to service time at Life Tabernacle.

Gwen died May 13, 2021 at MS Care Center. She was born August 30, 1945 in Booneville, MS to the late Robert and Ellie Ashcraft. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She was a retired CNA, having worked at nursing homes in Corinth.

She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Rorie; parents; and father of her children, David Rorie.

She is survived by her daughter, Roseayn Rorie; sons, James “Tubby” Rorie, John Rorie, and Jason Rorie; brother, Quitman Ashcraft; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Tristan, Serenity, Isaac, Maura Faith, Neely and Aiden Rorie; and special friend, Connie McAllister.

Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Rorie, Isaac Rorie, Tristan Rorie, Jimbo Ferguson, Ty Rorie, and Jay Rorie

Honorary pallbearers are Quitman Ashcraft and Aiden Rorie.

I never got to meet you but I have heard stories and they made me laugh.. God had a plan and was ready to call you home.. You can rest now your home! To the kids and family and friends in so sorry for your loss if I can do anything please let me know..
