Martha Jean Wilkins

A celebration of life service for Martha Jean Wilkins, 95, will be held on Saturday, April 20, at 2:00 pm at Henry Cemetery.

Martha went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. She was a much beloved mother, grandmother and friend.

Martha was born in Corinth, Mississippi and attended Corinth High School. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was a cosmetologist. An avid reader, Martha read hundreds of books and continued this hobby well into her nineties. She enjoyed reading three or four novels a week. Martha loved the Lord and was a member of First Evangelical Church of Memphis, TN.

She is survived by her children, Shawn Wilkins (Janalee) of Collierville, TN; Randall Wilkins (Denise) of Blanchard, OK; Denny Wilkins (Kim) of Lubbock, TX; Donna Plourde (Warren) of Vero Beach, FL; seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethyl and Mark Goddard and her son, Gary Wilkins.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that memorials be made to Crossover Ministries, a Christian ministry to unreached people groups, 7520 Monticello Road, Columbia, SC 29203 or Evangelical Christian School, 7600 Macon Road, Cordova, TN 38018
