What an impact this woman of God made upon my life. One seminar at Holly Springs was unforgettable because in consisted of her being teacher and speaker. I found my book of many years ago and prayed through the rooms of homes throughout America with intercessors across America.  I am now a North MS National Day of Prayer Coordinator. I shared her vision with pray ers from different states. When I discovered today she is now in heaven, it was bitter-sweet. I so would like to someway perpetuate her dream.  I too had a wonderful Christian mother. Love is eternal. Eternal. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I just found out my precious Mary is now with her Savior.  When I moved to Bethel Springs, TN God gave me Mary, who taught me God's Word through bible studies and Heritage Home.  My four daughters learned about the principles from Heritge Home growing up, and now they are teaching their children, a third generation of believers in our Savior because of what God did through Mary Oats.  Praise His Name!

Mrs. Mary was such a joy. She taught me Biblical principles through Heritage Home at conferences in Selmer and Wheeler Grove Baptist. Then many years later, she and the team came to East Booneville Baptist and led us in Heritage Home in 2004. What a dear, sincere, and Godly friend! Thankful for the opportunity to have known this precious lady. Praying for the family in the days ahead.

My beloved Mary was my mentor, friend,Bible teacher.She taught me how to pray, pray scripture study the word, memorize ,love and to live ..She was a wonderful example to many and I loved her dearly.I will miss her...

I wrote Mary several years ago and told her that the thing I remember most about her was the way she prayed. It wasn't formal. It was as if she was speaking with an intimate friend. That impressed me. Thank you, Mary, for that gift! My prayers for her family and friends.

Indeed, Mrs. Oates had many spiritual daughters and I am one!  She was so faithful to encourage me as a young girl, as a mother, and as a leader in ministry.  What a legacy she left in my life.  Thank you, Sherman, Carole, and Janey for sharing her with us.  I am a better lover of Christ because of her example and encouragement.

Only heaven will tell of the lives that were changed thru the ministry of sweet Mary.  She will be missed but I know Carole and Janey you find comfort knowing she and your Dad are reunited and she has seen our Lord

Mrs. Oates was a precious and loving woman who was a spiritual mentor to me.  When she and Sherman lived on Borroum Circle, Mary Little Pierce and I would spend many hours visiting them on our college breaks and in the summer.  I have such fond memories of them.  My parents still live in Corinth and I was sad that she was moving to Birmingham, because I knew that I'd never see her again.  Mrs. Oates lived a life of godliness and I'll always remember her hospitality and true concern for me.

You will be in my heart forever and I look forward to rejoicing with you around our Lord's Jesus Christ's throne.
