Mrs. Mavis Boals died April 17, 2016 at her residence. She was born August 11, 1924 in Alcorn Co. to the late Richard and Gertie Forsythe Mathis. She was a long time member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church, was a housewife. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Boals; parents; sister Evelyn Mills; brothers William Tell Mathis, Wayburn Mathis and Gillard Mathis.
She is survived by her son Clint (Kimberly) Boals, granddaughter Brittany (David) Moeller; brother Ronnie (Linda) Mathis; host of nieces and nephews; special caregivers Toni and Marty Jaco, Tracy Tomlinson.
