

Funeral Services for Mildred Coffman Meeks, 78, are set for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2011 at McPeters Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tom Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Center Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Counce, Tennessee Arrangements under the direction of McPeters Funeral Directors, Corinth, MS.
Mrs. Meeks died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born June 26, 1932. A precious homemaker, she loved to cook and prepare meals for her family. She was very well known for her delicious “Sour Cream Coconut Cake”. Everyone loved to go to Mamaw’s house to eat. Also, surely, if cleanliness in next to Godliness, Mamaw will be at those pearly gates. She loved her family dearly and always encouraged and supported her family. A member of Harper Road Christian Church, she loved her Lord and enjoyed attending church. She also loved gospel music and sang in the choir at her church as long as she could attend.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Deward Meeks; daughters, Anne Wood (Bobby), Janet Sagely (Thomas); sons, Danny Meeks (Sue), Tony Meeks (Carol); granddaughters, Kimberley Wood Morrison (Eric), Kacie Wood Hudson (Jeremy), Christie Meeks Page (Will), Courtney Layne Meeks, Elizabeth Lyn Sagely; grandson, Sean Stephan Calvary; great granddaughters, LeeAnne Floyd, LillyBeth Harville, Anna Lynne Hudson, Olivia Layne Page, and Pamela Blair Hudson; grandson, Ryan Stephan Calvary: sisters, Dorothy Kiddy, Mary Sue Parsons, Beauton Young (James), Joan Brooks (Kenneth), Virginia Coffman, Carolyn McMeans (Danny) and brother-in-law Travis Thompson. She is also survived by special caregivers Linda Sanders, Teresa Gray, Angela Clayton, and Marilyn Weaver also a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. Today, Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at McPeters Funeral Directors.
Pallbearers will be Danny McMeans, Travis Thompson, Kenneth Brooks, Billy Howell, Willard Webb, Dewayne Dunn, Stacey Meeks, Billy Coffman, James Kiddy, and Ronnie Coffman
Honorary Pallbearers are Wayne Leatherwood, Travis Fields, Melvis Calvary, Dewey Latch, and Don Seiler
