Miller was born August 30, 1935 and died at home early morning, February 15, 2109 surrounded by his family. Miller was graduated from Corinth High School in 1955. He was a tool & die maker and worked for Corinth Machinery for over 20 years and Production Tool, Inc. for over 20 years. He retired in 1996. More than anything or anyone, he loved his wife, children, grandchildren and his home. He took great pride in them. In his spare time he loved to read, watch TV, work in his yard and tinker with whatever he could find to repair. He enjoyed breaking things down, tearing them apart and putting them back together and then spray painting it. He loved a good can of spray paint. If it was broken he was going to fix it, clean it up and make it like new in his eyes. He always had a positive outlook on life and loved to make people laugh. He will be greatly missed by his family but he leaves them with wonderful memories. He was a loving, kind and caring husband, father and grandfather. His family and friends will remember him mostly for his "Millerisms", which were his own thoughts and words of wisdom he shared.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Turner Grover Childs and Myrtle Studdard Childs, 3 brothers, Billy Lane Childs, Danny Kaye Childs and an infant brother, Bobby Neal Childs, a nephew, Jimbo Free, a brother-in-law, John C. Spencer, 3 sisters-in-law, Carole Gifford Spencer, Lucy Todd Childs and Ann Childs as well as his in-laws, O.E. Spencer, Jr. & Sue Leatherwood Spencer.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Brenda Spencer Childs, and their son and daughter, Anthony (Tony) Spencer Childs and Tiffany Childs Hight, 3 grandchildren, Braddock Ellis Hight, Sydney Brooke Hight and Neeley Breenan Hight who were his pride and joy. He also leaves a brother-in-law, O.E. Spencer, III and 2 sister's-in-law, Cathy Davis Spencer and Judy Taylor Childs, 2 nephews, Mike Childs (Rayeann) and O.E. Spencer IV (Spence) along with 9 nieces, Sylbia Spencer Mills (Barry), Sally Spencer Hammett (Phillip), Amy Spencer Vanderford, Kasey Spencer Atkins (Eric), Susan Spencer Butler (John), Mary Katharine Spencer Sullivan (Brian), Sonja Childs Palmer, Lisa Childs Greenleaf and numerous great nieces and nephews.
