Services to celebrate the life of Nellie Faye Milam, 81, are scheduled for Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Jay Knight and Benny Milam officiating. Burial will follow in the Lone Oak Cemetery.
Mrs. Milam died on July 4, 2018 at her residence. She was born on October 26, 1936 in Alcorn County to the late James Solomon and Lizzie Della Clark. She worked in the textile industry and was a longtime member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Benny O. Milam; son Dannis James (Sandra), Sammy James (Kathy); daughters, Olida Smith, Brenda Willis (Ed); grandchildren, Becky Sanders, Cameron Lovell, Misty Crotts, Sandie Null, Nicole Sanders, Melissa McEwen, Eddie Willis, Aaron Lee Smith, Steve James and Melissa Miller; 17 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, “Baldy” Arlon James; brother, James Rebon Clark; infant brother, William; sister, Imogene Crum; great-grandson, Bryson Sanders; step-son, Donnie James; son-in-law, Aaron Smith; grandson -in-law, Jason Lovell and her father-in-law, Arlo Milam.
Pallbearers will be Justin Crotts, Logan Crotts, Bruce Sanders, Eddie Willis, Aaron Lee Smith and Dylan Sanders. Honorary will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
