
Patricia “Patty” Harrison, 73, died Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Magnolia Regional Health Care Center. Ms. Harrison graduated from Judson College in Marion, AL. She taught 1st grade in Ocala, Florida for more than ten years and the last twenty years of her teaching career was spent teaching 2nd grade at East Corinth Elementary School. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church Sanctuary choir where she also taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school for the past thirty years.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Smith officiating. Visitation will be Monday, April 25, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Henry Cemetery
Survivors include family members, Bob and Ruth Fort of Phoenix, Az.; Greg, Lyn, and Canon Fort of Hernando, Ms.; Barry, Bitsie, Tyler, Zach, and Jacob Fort of Phoenix, Az.; and a devoted lifelong friend, Ester Timmons of Corinth, Ms.
Pallbearers will be Danny Timmons, Russell Gibbs, Gary Mitchell, Spencer Lee, Bill Hussey, John Smiley, Colon McGee, and David Green.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Andy Timmons, Bob Foster, Taft Little, Bill Green, Charlie Miskelly, Danny McGee, and the men of First Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir.
In lieu of flowers, Ms. Harrison’s family request that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Singing Christmas Tree fund 501 Main Street Corinth, Ms 38834.
