Patricia Ann Tennyson

Patricia Ann Tennyson, 82, of Florence, AL went to rest at her eternal home on Monday, February 10, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born January 10, 1943 to the late George Wright and Lois Bernadine Goode Lawton.

Ms. Tennyson was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church in Florence, AL. She enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling, and going to the beaches in California. Her fondest memories were of picnics shared on the Tennessee River banks in the evenings or snuggled up watching their favorite shows with her beloved husband, Lawrence Obra Tennyson of thirty-eight years.

Ms. Tennyson was welcomed home by her parents; her brother, George Lawton; and sister, Janice Ownbey.

She leaves behind a legacy of family members, husband, Lawrence "Buck" Tennyson; son, David Brian Shuck (Carol); daughters, Lori Ann Brown, Lisa Marie Brandt (Jim) and Laura Tennyson; brother, James Leonard Lawton; sister, Myra Diane Foote; fifteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Oakdale Baptist Church in Florence, AL beginning at two o'clock in the afternoon with Bro. Kenneth Floyd officiating. The family will receive friends from twelve o'clock noon until service time. Internment will be in the Corinth National Cemetery in Corinth, MS the following day at noon.
