Paulette Burns

A celebration of life for Paulette Burns will be held on Sunday at 4:00 pm at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm until service time. Bro. Josh Westmoreland and Bro. Steve Byrd will officiate the services.

Paulette passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 26, 2026 at her daughter's home. While her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who loved her, her family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Leon.

She is survived by her daughters, Shannon Browder (Tony) and Donna Kirk; grandchildren, Chelsea Boyte (Mack), Tyler Rowe (Sam Vaught), Caleb Oathout (Amber Presley), Christopher Browder (Makayla), and Dustin Roberson; great-grandchildren, Kai Roberson, Jep Rowe, Mirren Roberson, Phoebe Boyte, and Geremia Browder; sisters, Betty Wood, Karen Jones (Don) and Beth Pharr; and her siblings in-law, Jerry Burns, Sherry Burns Putt, Paula Little, and Toddy Burns. She is also survived by her faithful dog, Angel Noel, who was her constant companion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lilian and Millard Childers; her husband, Leon Burns; her siblings, Joyce Burkes, JoAnne Merrill, John Wayne Childers, Charlie Childers, Glenda Baldwin, and Tony Childers.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Roberson, Bill Childers, Neil Childers, Travis Childers, Brad Holder, Jeremy Pharr, Billy Barnes and Nathan Baldwin. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her honor.
